The Comites of Manchester represents Italian citizens residing in the following counties, which constitute the Consular District of Manchester:  

Cheshire, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Durham, East Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Shropshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Tyne and Wear, West Midlands, West Yorkshire, Isle of Man .

The consulate of reference for this area is the Manchester Consulate , which opened on 18 July 2022. Before the opening, the London Consulate was competent

Consulate of Italy in Manchester

The Consulate of Italy in Manchester is responsible for central and northern England for consular services such as the renewal of passports.

Most of the services, including emergencies, are provided by appointment only.


List of reference professionals

List of Italian lawyers, accountants, notaries, doctors, translators and interpreters who operate or otherwise address their services to residents in the consular district of Manchester, by the Consulate.


Honorary Vice Consulate of Italy in Birmingham

It is based in Birmingham. By appointment, it is possible to renew passports and take advantage of other consular services for all residents registered with AIRE in the Manchester consular district.


Honorary Consulate of Italy in Liverpool

It is based in Liverpool. By appointment, it is possible to renew passports and take advantage of other consular services for all residents registered with AIRE in the consular district of Manchester (which, remember, does not include Wales).


Honorary Vice Consulate of Italy in Nottingham

It is based in Nottingham. By appointment, passports can be renewed and other consular services available for AIRE residents in the Manchester constituency.

Private non-profit organization that represents the local Italian-British business community and promotes commercial relations between Italy and the United Kingdom.


CDLCI (Italian Language and Culture Diffusion Center)

Management body of Italian language and culture courses throughout the North of England. It works to preserve the cultural background of the Italian Community based in this area and to promote our language and culture in the North West and Midlands.


Dante Alighieri Society Liverpool

The Dante Alighieri Society is a company that promotes Italian culture and language in the world. Today this company is present in more than 60 countries.


Dante Alighieri Loughborough Society

Founded in 1984, it has always aimed to promote and develop an interest in Italian culture and language throughout the local community.

The Company is not only for Italian speakers and welcomes members from all backgrounds.


Dante Alighieri Society Manchester

Established in 1996, the Manchester branch is one of the Company's many branches around the world. The Company is based in Rome, and its mission is to promote the Italian language and Italian culture abroad

Associations active in the area


MIA (Manchester Italian Association)

An association of Italian emigrants in Manchester that has its roots in 1888. Every year it organizes the Italian Procession in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, which takes place in July through the center of Manchester.


Ancoats Little Italy

A website by Anthony Rea that collects documents and testimonies of Italian immigration in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in Manchester, with photographs and stories of a "Little Italy" that no longer exists, and genealogical resources.


MammaMia Liverpool

Charity is a school of Italian language and culture for children and adults, with the aim of promoting, preserving and sharing our language and its cultural heritage between the Italian-speaking community and the local community.


Nottingham Italian School (Leicester, Loughborough)

Weekly Italian courses outside school hours for children and adults in Nottingham-Leicester and Loughborough Preparing students for the GCSE, A-Level and B1 Italian exams.



ItalianKids (Manchester)

An association of Italian-speaking parents who meet regularly to allow their children to make new friends, play, sing and practice Italian together, active in the Greater Manchester area.


Manchester Italian Theater Friends Association - AATIM

Based in Greater Manchester, it stages theatrical works in Italian and offers everyone the opportunity to participate in programming. He deals not only with theater but with Italian art, and with promoting music, cinema, poetry, photography, painting, etc.


Italian club of Bradford and Harrogate

The "Circolo Italiano" was founded in the early 1970s, with the aim of bringing together adult students of Italian to exchange experiences of Italian culture . 


The Good News (Harrogate)

The Good News is an Italian community of Harrogate open to all, with monthly meetings dedicated to Italian traditions, customs and traditions. It organizes masses in Italian, and three annual events: Christmas market, carnival and the Italian festival in June.


Cumbria Italian Club

The Italian Club of Cumbria aims to bring the Italian community together in Cumbria and strengthen relations between the British and Italian people.
