The Comites at the Remembrance Day Parade

By invitation of the Manchester Italian Association, a delegation of the Comites of Manchester took part on 9 November 2025 in the Remembrance Day Parade and the Remembrance Sunday Service in Manchester, held at the Cenotaph in St Peter’s Square

The Comites was represented by Cesare Ardito and Gianluigi Cassandra, together with the Consul of Italy in Manchester, Gabriele Magagnin, members of the local Italian community, and members of the Manchester Italian Association, including Tina Palattella, who served as a councillor of this Comites in the 1990s.

A floral tribute was laid at the memorial dedicated to the Italian soldiers who fought alongside the British Armed Forces in the First World War.
The ceremony, organised by Manchester City Council, was held in the presence of the Lord Mayor and the civil, military and religious authorities.
